The promise of new knowledge and technologies and the potential of the vast resources in space suggest it would be sensible to continue current and future exploration efforts of our universe. Our leaders and politicians should continue to set goals much as President Kennedy did in the 1960s when he said: "But why some say the moon. Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why thirty-five years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas? We choose to go to the moon! We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they hard.
